Learn more about users that are always able to access projects and documents
Precisely’s advanced and flexible access policy enables each organization to manage and control its content in different ways. However, users that can always access certain content are:
-
All admins
-
Users with inherited access
Inherited access to the project in Draft & Sign
On a project level, users with inherited access to the project in Draft & Sign are:
-
Project creator
-
Initial approver
-
Final approver
-
Users (managers, members) with access to the archive folder where the project’s documents are stored by automated archiving (NOTE! To access the project and its documents via Draft & Sign, the user must belong to the team with “read and write” access. If the user belongs to the team with “read only” access, they are still able to view the project’s document, but only in the Archive.)
Inherited access to the project’s documents in the Archive
When it comes to access to the project’s documents in the Archive, users with inherited access are:
-
Project creator
-
Initial approver
-
Final approver
-
Users (managers, members) with team access to the archive folder where the project’s documents are stored. If documents are not stored in a specific folder, they won’t be visible to other users except for admins, the project creator, and approvers.
NOTE: When documents are stored in specific folders or subfolders, the project creator and the approvers must have team access to the folders in order to see the documents in the Archive.
To give access to more users and teams, you need to change access policy of the project or a folder.
