Learn how to configure a unique external ID system for your Precisely projects
Precisely allows you to configure a custom external ID system for your organization's projects, giving each project a unique ID consisting of an alphabetic prefix followed by a numerical identifier.
What is a unique external ID used for?
Setting up a unique external ID for projects allows for a smooth transition to Precisely from other matter or project management systems. It ensures that there are no conflicts between IDs of your Precisely projects and those created in your previously used systems. Once it's set up, the external ID system reference can be used when configuring metadata in templates and can also be used in template titles.
