Learn how to set up automatic reminders for pending signees and approvers
Setting up automatic signing and approval reminders is a great way to prevent delays and bottlenecks in your contract workflows.
When automatic reminders are enabled, pending signees and approvers will receive an email notification at regular intervals until they have signed the document or given approval.

How to enable automatic signing and approval reminders
Admin users can enable automatic signing and approval reminders on the Organization settings page.
Simply:
- Switch on the toggle next to send automatic approval reminders and/or send automatic signing reminders
- Type or click the arrows to select a time interval between 1 and 999 days to send reminders. Changes will automatically save.
How do users know when automatic reminders are enabled?
Automatic signing reminder settings will display to users in the signing section of a document in the project:

⚠️ Note: Manual reminders can still be sent for both signing and approval requests when automatic reminders are enabled. When sending manual reminders, users will be asked to give confirmation that they wish to send the notification.
How to track automatic signing and approval reminders
Any user with access to the project can view the date and recipients of the last sent reminder, as well as the date of the next scheduled reminder in the signing section of a document and in the approvals section of a project:
