Ask it to find a project, look up a template or draft a new contract, and it does the work in Precisely for you. `` ### How does it work? Precisely works with any AI assistant that supports MCP, the Model Context Protocol. MCP is an open standard that lets an assistant use other apps on your behalf. You add Precisely to your assistant once, sign in with your Precisely account, and from then on you can ask the assistant to work in Precisely in plain language. Your assistant works as you. It can only see and do what you can in Precisely, in the organizations you belong to. Everything it changes is recorded in the audit log as made through your assistant, so your team can always see what happened and who did it. ### What can my assistant do in Precisely? - **Find your work.** Search the projects you can see and look up any of them: its status, documents, parties, signing status and approvals. - **Find templates.** Search the templates you can draft from and see the questions each one asks. - **Draft contracts.** Start a new project from a template and answer the questionnaire for you. It asks you for anything it doesn't know. - **Generate documents.** Generate the project's documents, just as the Generate documents button does. If your project's approval starts when documents are generated, approval is requested as usual. Sending documents for signing isn't available through assistants yet. ### Which AI assistants can I use? Any assistant that lets you add a remote MCP server with sign-in, for example Claude and ChatGPT. Assistants call these *custom connectors*, *connectors* or *MCP servers*; look for them in your assistant's settings. In some company workspaces, only the workspace admin can add connectors. ### How do I connect my assistant? 1. In Precisely, go to **Integrations** and find the **AI assistants** card. Click **Set up**. 2. Copy the server address. 3. In your AI assistant, add a custom connector (also called an MCP server) and paste the address. 4. Sign in to Precisely when asked. Check what the assistant will be allowed to do, and choose **Allow**. 5. Ask your assistant to draft a contract, for example "Draft an NDA with Acme in Precisely". ![Screenshot 2026-10-27 at 21.21.56](https://help.precisely.se/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202026-10-27%20at%2021.21.56.png?width=399&height=367&name=Screenshot%202026-10-27%20at%2021.21.56.png) When you sign in, Precisely shows what the assistant asks to do: see your organizations, projects and templates; draft and change projects for you; and send documents for signing and reminders for you. These only limit what the assistant may do. They never give it more than your own role in Precisely allows. ### Who can use it? Everyone with a standard role in Precisely can connect an assistant. If your organization uses custom roles, the role needs **API access**, the same permission used for API keys. If you don't see the AI assistants card, ask your Precisely admin. Some features have to be turned on for your organization before an assistant can use them. If one isn't, your assistant tells you so. ### How do I disconnect? Remove the Precisely connector in your AI assistant's settings. To make sure no assistant can reach your account anymore, contact Precisely support and we'll remove its access for you. ### Frequently asked questions #### Can my assistant do anything I can't? No. It has exactly your permissions in Precisely, and an admin who changes your role changes what your assistant can do straight away. #### What happens to my contract data? When your assistant reads a project or template, that content is sent to the company behind your assistant so it can answer you. Their terms, and your company's settings with them, decide how they store and use it. Check these before you connect. #### My assistant says it isn't allowed to do something. Why? Either your role in Precisely doesn't allow it, or you didn't allow it when you connected. In the second case, your assistant asks you to reconnect. Remove the connector, add it again and choose **Allow**. #### My assistant says there are too many requests. Precisely limits how many requests an assistant can make in a short time. Wait a moment and ask again. #### Where do I see what my assistant has done? In the audit log, where changes made through an assistant are marked as such. You can also open the project in Precisely to see the draft, answers and documents. #### What does Beta mean? The integration works and is ready to use, and we're still adding to it.
