[Template & Draft Control](https://help.precisely.se/en/control-compliance?hsLang=en#template-draft-control) # How do I lock templates to disable changes? ## Learn more about how to lock and unlock templates to prevent any edits by other users who have access On top of various user roles and access policies, **admins** are also able to lock templates to  prevent other non-admin (manager) users from making any edits or changes. Manager users will be unable to edit locked templates, even when they have “read and write” access. All users who have access are still able to draft contracts from that template. If the template is locked, managers with access will still be able to view the template but they won’t be able to make any changes.
